Ich hatte überlegt zur WEC zu fahren, das kommt wohl nicht zu stande. Statdessen werde ich aber (wie schon letztes Jahr) zu den 24 Stunden nach Spa fahren.

Wenn Du die BOSS Serie mal besuchst denke dran, daß die Champcar Motoren 2007 auch schon stark limitiert waren, das Drehzahllimit lag wimre bei 12000 U/Min. Unlimitiert wurden fast 16000 U/Min erreicht und mit mehr Ladedruck gefahren. Ansonsten fahr im Mai mal nach Spa zum 6 Stunden Rennen der Langstrecken WM, da hast Du sehr viele unterschiedlich klingende Fahrzeuge und Du kannst rund um die Strecke laufen, wozu man während der 6 Stunden ja auch genug Zeit hat. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Schade, dass man den Vergleich nicht mehr ziehen kann, man kann höchtens noch zwei Champcars von 2007 in der BOSS GP sehen und hören... Ich war 2009 am Nürburgring, und 2011 und 2012 jeweils in Spa und am Ring, immer bei den World Series by Reanult. ;)

Sound ist auch Geschmacksache, aber an die damaligen Indycar-Motoren kommen stark limitierte Motoren wie aus der FR 3.5 nicht ran, wenn Du den Live-Vergleich hättest würdest Du mir zustimmen denk' ich :-) Hast Du FR 3.5 im Rahmen vom 1000 km-Rennen in Spa gesehen oder so ein Renault Racing Day?

One would hope that the record never is broken though. You'll have noticed that the top speeds of race cars have actually been falling in recent years, it's this phenomena that caused the Le Mans distance record to take so long to break. The introduction of the chicanes on the Mulsanne adds several seconds to each lap. Many series regulators aim for specific lap time as specific tracks and will hopefully continue to reign in speeds whilst keeping exciting racing. F1 fails at the exciting part.
