The students at my high school are forced to use them for our Friday broadcasts. Many kids bring their windows laptops because it can, honestly, render the video faster than on their iMacs w/ Final Cut Pro.
I use a MacBook Pro, currently, and it's useful for word processing and web browsing. Though it is efficient at that, it's starting to become less stable after 2 years.. At least my home-built desktop is modular so problems can be easily fixed

They really are! All I was trying to say is, the majority of the people that diss Mac's are the people that cannot afford one or have barely used one. If you have the money, why not. I have worked hard for mine, and deserve it. And how can people argue with a computer that runs almost ANY operating system and is much harder to obtain viruses on...? I whole heartedly admit that I am a label licker too, who doesn't want to look good hahah

Apple products are the most goddamn trendy things ever. And don't misunderstand, I'm saying that they're trend-based. I didn't buy my PC because it was cool or popular. I bought a game with graphics that my old family PC couldn't handle, so I decided to build my own rig (cheaper than buying a prebuilt/Mac with comparable hardware). My nano, I may have bought that b/c it was popular. I bought a cheap $25 mp3 player that was slow as shit and decided to go with the popularly tested safe choice.

"Exclusiveness" is also a bad reason to pick a computer, in fact i'm not even sure what you mean by "more exclusive" (less people can afford it, please elaborate?). PCs can also run a variety of OS's and with a bit of tweaking can even run OSX. What do you mean by "single based"? Macs are also vulnerable to viruses (google Mac battery virus, a guy did it just to prove macs aren't invulnerable) but it's just that people don't often bother creating malware for them b/c of the smaller user base.

PCs aren't just for poor people as you seem to be insinuating ("if I wasn't well off"). There are both inexpensive low-end parts and expensive high-end parts as well. You can customize them quite well to fit your needs. "Looking better" isn't a very good reason to pick out something as useful/expensive as a computer but there are plenty of sexy looking pc towers.

I can't say they suck as I haven't really tried using one. But I will say that I think they're overpriced. OS aside, you could put together an equivalent machine for a lot less if you custom build.

@JoeArbiter the only reason PC's are more popular is because they are used in the work place more than apple computers that doesnt mean theyre better.

I totally agree. PC FTW, all the apple shit is too overpriced and not really customizable..
